In an effort to raise funds and
community awareness the Ellwood City Revitalization Committee is
selling key chains and other items, such as T-shirts and hats that
bear the agency’s logo. The key chains were made locally by Kimpel
Jewelers and the clothing items are being made by Sportswear
Graphics, also of Ellwood City. Area businesses are invited to
participate in the fund-raising effort by suggesting items that can
be sold. |

Teachers and staff of North Side
Elementary in Ellwood City donated $5 each Friday in order to wear
jeans to school. The proceeds, from teachers and staff throughout
the district, went to the Ellwood City Revitalization Committee.
Among those participating are, from left, Craig Alberts and Kandis
Boy, learning support teachers; Carol Todorich, fourth trade
teacher; Craig Mills, sixth grade teacher; Patti Kuhn, Ellwood City
Revitalization board member and promotions chairwoman; and Randy
French, fifth grade teacher. Teachers often support community causes
via "Jeans Days," including Gavin Myers, the American Cancer
Society, March of Dimes, Ellwood City Ministerium and The Caring
Team. In an effort to raise public awareness for the revitalization
program the committee plans to sell T-shirts, hats, key chains and
other items. Local businesses are invited to suggest items to
benefit the program.
